Using Clinical Phenotype and Expression Data to Distinguish Biomarkers of Cancer Progression and Treatment Response

The development of effective diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic biomarkers holds great promise to improve upon current clinical success rates by stratifying patients likely to respond to any of the myriad of treatment regimens in use today.

In this presentation we will demonstrate how the NextBio platform can be used to unlock the biomarker data within public and proprietary genomic data, semantically link knowledge sources, and stimulate hypotheses generation and validation. We will present examples of diverse search and discovery strategies that effectively lead to in- silico validation of phenotypic biomarkers and delineate treatment effects via gene and pathway perturbations. We will demonstrate how you can discover distinctive features influenced by Estrogen Receptor, Progesterone Receptor, and HER2 status. You can apply these strategies to any public data within NextBio or your personal data uploaded into NextBio.
