The Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing web applications using Hadoop. This person will collaborate closely with other engineers to help grow and scale the NextBio platform.Requirement Experience:

- The Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing backend systems on a Spring platform. This person will collaborate closely with other engineers to help grow and scale the NextBio platform.

- 5+ years developing scalable web applications on a Unix-based platform.
- Hands-on design and implementation experience using Spring.
- In-depth knowledge of Java/J2EE technologies.

- The Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing systems that uses Natural Language Processing to contribute to NextBio's innovative search technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of academic and real-world experience, with a passion for developing high-quality search algorithms that will have a major impact on their company's business.
Requirement Experience:
- Solid understanding of search technologies, including experience working with Natural Language Processing (NLP).
- In-depth knowledge of Java/J2EE technologies.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent, PhD preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative development environment.
- 5+ years of industry experience, with at least 2 years of experience working with search technologies.

- SOFTWARE INTERN

We are looking for a currently enrolled BS CS student someone who has completed at least 2 years of coursework with proficiency in at least one language like Java or PHP. The intern is expected to learn quickly and will take on one or more software application development and related projects. A senior member of the development team will guide you and help you in the success of your projects.
The candidate:
- Must be familiar with Windows and Linux development environments
- Must be have the basic knowledge of web based database driven applications
- Must have working knowledge or HTML, Javascript, CSS, SQL and a language like Java or PHP

- SENIOR ENTERPRISE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
- We are seeking an experienced enterprise account manager to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will find and develop business within multi-site, international accounts as well as medium size pharma and biotech accounts. The customer base includes research scientists, bio-informaticians, and information technology persons across all levels of a customer's organization. This is a very exciting and rewarding opportunity for someone with experience managing complex, high-dollar scientific software deals. The ideal candidate will reside in the Northeastern US. Expected travel will average 50%.
Responsibilities:
The enterprise account manager will be responsible for building a customer base of NextBio users within a handful of global pharmaceutical and biotechnology accounts as well as a number of medium-sized accounts. Other members of the NextBio team (including marketing, software development, and field application scientists) will work closely with you to ensure that you have the resources you and our customers need to be successful. You will develop and execute sales and account plans to ensure you meet the required sales goals. The account manager will work with multiple groups within an account to uncover potential sales opportunities, and move these from an evaluation phase through to enterprise-wide licensing deals.
Qualifications:
- Accomplished sales representative with 5+ years selling scientific software or solutions to major pharmaceutical and biotech accounts
- Track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas and growing business
- B.S. or higher degree in biological sciences
- Expertise managing and closing complex, high-dollar, business deals
- Ability to uncover and develop sales opportunities throughout a territory
- Capable of working effectively with biologists, chemists, informaticians, and information technology personnel at all levels within an account
- Desire to become a major contributor to the growth and success of a dynamic software company
- SENIOR BIOINFORMATICS SCIENTIST
- We are looking for a highly motiviated bioinformatics scientist with extensive prior experience of working in pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies. Particularly, we are looking for candidates with background in the design and development of applications for the analysis and management of diverse types of high throughput research data. We are looking for individuals who understand the scientific and technical challenges of biological data integration, have strong technical skills and the ability to handle diverse tasks and projects.
