Student Travel Grant

Rules

NextBio is offering $500 student travel grants to be used to attend the conference of your choice. To apply, submit a one-page essay describing how the NextBio tools have been beneficial to your research.

To be eligible for a travel grant a student must be a registered member of NextBio (registration is free) and currently enrolled in a MS, MD or PhD program. Grant applications must be submitted to NextBio by September 30th, 2009. Recipients will be notified of their grant by October 15th, 2009.

Three grants of $500 each will be disbursed. Recipients will be selected based on the quality of their essay as judged by a panel of NextBio scientists. Funds must be used towards attending a scientific conference. Winners must submit evidence of conference registration. NextBio will retain the right to publish from any of the essays submitted on the NextBio blog or other NextBio communications.

To apply, submit a one-page essay on the topic of how NextBio has assisted you in the pursuit of your research and a link to your NextBio profile.
